India: sell crypto and withdraw INR to your bank (ZebPay)
A plain walkthrough of the steps in ZebPay's own help pages. Screens change, so treat the official pages linked below as the source of truth. This is not financial or tax advice.
Before you start
- Register a bank account first, in the app: menu, My Account, Bank, Add Bank, enter the details and Save Bank Details. Verification usually takes 20 to 30 minutes, up to 24 hours if reviewed manually.
- The bank account must be an individual savings account in your own name. Joint accounts and NRE / NRO accounts are not supported.
- After a bank account is verified, there is a 24-hour cooling period in which withdrawals cannot be started. Location access must be on for your device or browser when withdrawing.
1. Sell the crypto
- On the Exchange screen, pick the coin you hold, swipe up for the trading pairs and choose the INR pair (for example ETH-INR).
- Select the order type shown (Limit or Stop Limit), choose Sell, enter the amount in INR or in crypto and the price, then confirm.
- The order appears in the Order Book. Pending orders show under Open Orders and can be cancelled before they execute; executed orders move to order history. An order stays open for up to 60 days.
2. Withdraw to your bank
- Portfolio, then Withdraw, then Bank Withdraw.
- Enter the amount or tap 25%, 50%, 75% or 100%, choose your registered bank account and tap Proceed to Withdraw.
- Review the details, tap Continue and enter your 4-digit PIN. A confirmation shows in the app and is sent by email.
Fees, timing and limits to watch
- Minimum INR withdrawal is INR 100, and it can take up to 2 working days to reach your bank. ZebPay only pays out to your registered bank account.
- Fees: this calculator uses the 0.45% spot rate plus 18% GST on the fee, as for a sell that executes immediately (taker). A Limit order that waits in the book may be charged differently. Quick Trade is a separate feature with its own rate.
- Taxes such as TDS are not ZebPay fees and are not included in any estimate here.
